Thanks for the link Akey... I'm always on the lookout for Fun Anime, Manga, or Live Action Anime Swag...
As for you anonymous, good luck with that attitude... If you don't like the stuff, that's fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion... But don't say "We" , when you probably weren't even born yet, and have no idea what the Hell was goin' on back then... Grow-Up and leave Stupid-Ass comments like that in your hooded robe... Last time I checked, this blog was about sharin' all kinds of things like Art, News, and the occasional laugh... Not demeanin' an entire culture... Grab a history book, my bad, turn on the History Channel, actually listen and learn something, before you go fartin' out something so senseless... Whew* that's way more energy than you desrved, but you pissed me off...
Hmm, yes. 61 years ago. Which means that is a fact of little relevence in this world presently. This is a different America from those days. For better or worse. Mostly better I hope. BTW, have you noticed N.American Culture lately? Rising single-parenthood, women striving for standardized beauty through self-mutilation, incidence of homocides per 100,000 citizens; the shit music most of America listens to, the shit television we watch, the shit film we pay to see; and when I say "WE" I mean "YOU". Here's an idea; cancel the ESPN and pick up a book? Go see some live theater. Japan has a very, very impressive literacy rate. Hell, Cuba has a literacy rate higher than the US's. Seems a little self-possessed "dorkiness" would not be a bad thing. I mean, yes, Japan has it's perversions. But it seems that those perversions are something the Japanese culture deals with in it's own way fairly effectively and openly. Despite what we believe about ourselves and what our elected leaders tell us about who we are and what this country is about, it astounds me that so few Americans have the capacity to exercise a little self-criticism. OK, this is bumming me out. Let's not forget that this blog is about directing everyone's attention to my personal AWESOMENESS! ;~) h.e.
I man a small, yet prepared outpost in Battle Zone Eighteen, Oscar Six Sector. My rank is Group Sub-Baron of the 8th Combat Squadron, 888 Flotilla attached to Air Wing PULSARE, the "TROUBLING 8's".
I spend my free time drawing for DC/Vertigo.
