T.C.G. "Wings" Trading Cards: Cold War Tensions AND Hard Gum!

My friend Alex Wald gave me these cards that he had come across some years ago. He thought of me because I'm such a geek about aviation: Military in particular.
I've done a little research and these are part of a set put out by Topps in the
1950's. A total of 200 cards completed the set. Herald Tribune Inc. is credited as a source or sponsor on the back of each card, along with a silouhetted tri-view of a random aircraft from the series to test your "Friend or Foe" reflexes plus a description of the featured craft on the face side of the card. The backs of my cards are marred as some kid decided to paste them to a board around the time that Eisenhowers' prostate started giving him problems. Still the art for these are terrific. There's some vanquished, remote victim shown in each U.S. card, pratically "Beware!...this could be your village". LOL.
Reminds me of model box art from the Czech Repubic (yes, I meant "RePUBIC").
I'll post more as I edit. Maybe those guys at drawn.ca will notice my blog finally (boo-dee-hoo!).

Hmmm, I am a bastard. Few know that I'm a bastard. Some even regard me as a magnificent bastard,... is this a particular wayward Dominican?

Ah, Professor H!
I didn't know you spoke Spanish so dastardly!
Indeed, I have the cards! But I am sharing as best I can!
