Harbor Egress Noxum Mandus

I Live Yet.
Between 247A and 341A, my 3rd time wandering from bed sleepless, I sat down to the old Moleskine for solace.
In half sleep I was finding it easier to break away from the tried and tired things that normally ramble through my head and find their way onto the page.
The ferocious deity on the left hand page kinda wigged me a bit...So out of some sort of ad hoc piety I left the opposite page open for him to write my destiny.
Christians; NEWSFLASH..."No GOD Before ME" means precisely that.
When confronted by crazy, meet it head-on.
My friend Mike calls these days, "The Shank of Summer"...
It's 100 degrees out. Jehovah's Witnesses are bursting into flames in mid-salutation.
Winter is Kindred; un cour en hiver.
Summer kills is all I'm saying.
Sigh.
So who's going to the Con this weekend?
Notice that I'm blogging?
Rereading Neal Stephenson's "The Diamond Age".
Pretending that I'm living 40 years in the future and I'm fortunate enough to be granted temporal license to revisit these days; it seems to help.

dude! you are so fucking cool! All this glorious artwork! I damn near crapped my pants!
It was great to see all those pages from Red Dragon! I'll focus my hatred on Andrew Rev(regardless of whether it was all his fault or not)for my not being able to purchase those goodies. You know, sometimes I buy SO MUCH stuff, that I forget who did what! I have every issue of Papa Midnight--and didn't even realize that you did it until I peeped your blog! What a dork!
Your concepts and sketches rock!Vehicles, weapons, good grief, man! I'm gonna guess that you also did artwork for the Comico superpowered card game, that I own a whopping one card of. Cyber-talons is the card, and I see that you did the art for that, too. O.K. I am your biggest fan! Wait....I wasn't ejected? Oh, right, I'm at home.
The icing on the cake, is that you know Raf. Raf is the man. He helped me to become a much greater writer than I was before. Ask him about A.K.A. Mosquito. If he doesn't remember, forget all the cool shit I just said about him! PEACE!

P.S. Jack getting knocked around by those vehicles, and the funky forced contortionism of his body as a result, made me laugh until my eyes watered!

Tony,
This is not the weather of my people.
I feel like Bikram Choudhury
came to my house & made me do his 26 pranayama asanas for three weeks straight.
I have only recently joined you in the retro-fangled world of moleskine power-users...and do you realize that your moleskine sequence comprises an entire Gilbert Hernandez story (circa 1986 or so)?
See you at the Con...unless you see me first.

Barry! Shonny-Shonn!
Thanks guys.
Yeah the moleskine Musings are fun. I don't get the chance to free-form on the 'Live' page for JoF, so it's nice to "scat" safely in the sketchbook. Hopefully I can bring some of this synaptic misfire into Jack from time to time.
Shonn, man...YOU ARE MY BIGGEST FAN!!!
Thanks for checking out the blog and find the Red Dragon stuff. And thanks for coming to the signing and sharin' the love with Brian Azzarello.
Indeed, Raf is the Man. Not like Condie Rice is the "Man", but Man none-the-less.
Really glad that Jack getting that "tune-up" made you happy.
YEAH! The Cyber-talons were like my only contribution to the card game (which Brian A. slaved to figure out)...There were a couple more ideas I worked up nut I'm not sure if they made it into the set.
Bar, I had 15 pranayamas last night, in a delicious but spicy mango kiwi chutney. Mmm-mmm!
See you at the Con my friends.

TOOOONNNNNYYYYY,
If shonny-shonn gets to be your biggest fan (a title I was in the running for), can I be your heaviest fan? Please? Have you ever tried lifting me? I'm very heavy. I crap spent uranium. If there's not firm bedrock beneath me I could easily sink to the center of the earth where I might run into Hilary Swank and Aaron Eckhart.
